compact disc (see pages 10-14) or record (see page 10).
2 Load a cassette into the TAPE 2 cassette compartment.
3 Set the TAPE-2 selectors according to the tape.
4 When recording with the Dolby NR system, set the DOLBY NR
switch to ON, if not, set it to OFF. :
5 Press the PAUSE button, then the RECORD button, which also
engages the PLAY button.

6 Turn the REC LEVEL controls to the "5" position. However,
if the recording level is incorrect, set the control so that "O
dB” (first red light) in the peak level display barely flickers
on and off during recording.
7 Press the PAUSE button again to begin recording.
Beat cancel switch
If beating noise occurs with MW or LW, set the BEAT CANCEL
switch to A, B or C, whichever gives the best reception.
@ Dubbing
1 Set the POWER switch to ON.
2 Press the TAPE button.
3 Load a prerecorded cassette into the TAPE 1 cassette
compartment. insert a blank tape into the TAPE 2 cassette
compartment.
4 Set the TAPE-1 and TAPE-2 selectors to their proper positions.
5 Set the DUBBING SPEED switch to NORMAL for playback-
speed dubbing, or to HIGH for double-speed dubbing.
@ Keep this switch on only when dubbing or erasing.
6 Press the PAUSE button of TAPE 1, and then the PLAY button
of TAPE 1.
7 Press the PAUSE button of TAPE 2, and then the RECORD
button of TAPE 2, which also engages the PLAY button.
8 Press the PAUSE button of TAPE 1 and TAPE 2 simultaneously
to begin dubbing.
Note:
@ The DOLBY NR switch will not function in the dubbing mode.
