Please read these operating instructions carefully before you begin working with the
PGT-12-Pro.
1.1 Purpose of this document
These operating instructions are used to guide technical personnel working for the
machine manufacturer/operator in commissioning and operating the PGT-12-Pro.

1.4 Maintenance and repairs
The PGT-12-Pro is maintenance-free. It is not designed to be repaired in the event of a
defect.
1.5 Disposal

Always dispose of unserviceable devices in compliance with local/national rules
and regulations with respect to waste disposal.

Your PGT-12-Pro uses long-life batteries. If these need to be replaced, see “Insert‐
ing/Replacing batteries”.
Battery disposal
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste! Please contact your
local waste authority.

2 Product description
The PGT-12-Pro is a programming tool that you can use to easily program programma‐
ble SICK devices (see "Technical data").
Programming can be carried out in the office, in the production plant, or outdoors. A
PC/laptop and grid connection are not required.
