3 Scope of delivery
•
1 x standalone PGT-12-Pro programming tool
•
4 x 1.5 V micro alkaline batteries (AAA)
•
1 x wrist strap
An adapter cable can be ordered from www.sick.com.
Please check the delivered parts upon receipt. In particular, make sure that the adapter
cable is suitable for the device.
WARNING
Only use an adapter cable that is suitable for the device (see "Facilities for connecting").
The programming tool must only be used with the designated adapter cables. Other
adapter cables are not permitted. Their use could result in damage to the programming
tool and/or the connected device.
Accessories
Required accessories are suitable adapter cables.
A list of suitable adapter cables can be found under "Facilities for connecting".
4 Commissioning
4.1 Inserting/Replacing batteries
Only use leak-proof and mercury-free alkaline batteries or suitable lithium rechargeable
batteries.
WARNING
Take care not to damage electronic devices and connections!
Observe the ESD protection.
Battery disposal
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste! Please contact your
local waste authority.
Insert the supplied batteries into the housing of the PGT-12-Pro to establish the voltage
supply:
•
Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the housing.
•
Insert the batteries into the battery holders. Ensure that the polarity is correct.
•
Close the battery compartment cover.
NOTE
During programming, power is supplied to the device via the PGT-12-Pro.
