3.1.2.4 Connection of the temperature sensors to the extension module I/O 2
Remove the external insulation at the shielded cable to a length of approx. 5 cm.
Trim the cable shield to a length of approx. 4 cm and protect the open end using a heat shrink tube or similar
material. Please observe that an approx. 1 cm wide strip of the shield must remain unprotected for the ground-
ing.
Remove the inner insulation of the signal line to a length of approx. 1 cm.
Crimp suitable bootlace ferrules to the ends of the inner conductors.
Pass the cables through the openings in the shield cover and connect the inner conductors as shown in the
connection diagram.
Put the cover on the voltage terminal.
Clamp the unprotected part of the cable shield below the cable clamp closest to the connection at the shield
cover.
Insert the finished terminal into the brackets of the rear wall.
