● You know the ambient conditions such as temperature and air humidity.
● You know the movements of air such as natural airflows and ventilation from air
conditioning systems in the area being monitored.
● You know what the building material is, e.g., concrete, wood or brick, so you
can fasten the pipe system correctly.
● You know the ambient conditions such as whether the environment is dirty or
dusty, and other external influences.
● The preferred application has been defined for the aspirating smoke detector,
e.g., room protection or equipment protection.
In case of pressure differences:
If the aspirating smoke detector is mounted outside the area being monitored, it
may be necessary to return the aspirated air to the area being monitored via a
return pipe.
Connecting external devices
Various external devices can be connected to the aspirating smoke detector.
