Call display
For calling line identification
If the number of the caller is stored in Contacts, the number is replaced by the name
of the Contacts entry.
No calling line identification
Instead of name and number, the following is displayed:
u External: No number is transferred.
u Withheld: Caller has withheld calling line identification (¢ page 39).
u Unavailable: Caller has not requested calling line identification.
Notes on phone number display (CLIP)
If you do not make any settings on your phone, the caller's phone number is dis-
played.
Possible causes for the phone number not being displayed:
u You have not requested number transfer from your network provider.
u Your telephone is connected via a PABX or a router with an integrated PABX
(gateway) that does not transmit all information.
Have you requested the phone number display service from your
network provider?
¤ Ask your network provider if he supports phone number display (CLIP) and if this
has been enabled for you.
