3.4 Installing UPDD
3.4.1 Prerequisites
● The commissioning engineer has administrator privileges.
● The operating system is Windows 2000 SP 4, WinXp Pro Professional or
WinXP embedded Professional.
● The program is exclusively provided for touch operation.
● A USB keyboard and USB mouse are connected to the PC.
● A previous version of the "UPDD" software must not have been installed.
3.4.2 Procedure
1. If a previous version of the "UPDD" software is installed, please uninstall it. Subsequently
restart the computer.
Note
Use the application from the "Documentation & Drivers" CD supplied, or from the Internet.
You can find the application under .
2. Start the software by double-clicking on "Setup".
The "UPDD Install" dialog box is displayed. This informs you of the software version and
of supported controllers.

3. Click "Install" in order to install the program.
