According to IEC 60079-7 (Explosive atmospheres - Part 7: Equipment protection by increase
safety “e”) and IEC 60079-0 (Explosive atmospheres - Part 0: Equipment - General
requirements).
Special conditions in hazardous area:
1. The devices may only be used in a range not exceeding pollution degree 2, as defined in
IEC 60664-1.
2. The modules must be installed in a suitable enclosure that guarantees at least IP54 degree
of protection according to EN 60079-15 or EN 60079-7, taking into account the ambient
conditions during use.
3. Measures must be taken to protect against exceeding the nominal operating voltage by
more than 119 V due to short-time disturbance voltages.

Updated symbols for zone 2/22:
