5.10 Changing password settings
Password protection prevents unauthorized access to the Control Panel.
NOTICE
The password cannot contain spaces or special characters * ? . % / \ ' ".
If the password is no longer available for the Control Panel, you first have to update the
operating system before you can make any changes in the Control Panel. All data on the
HMI device will be overwritten when you update the operating system.
Procedure – activating password protection
1. Press the "Password" button to open the
"Password Properties" dialog.
2. Enter a password in the "Password" text box.
Touch the text box. The alphanumerical
screen keyboard is displayed.
3. Confirm the password in the "Confirm
Password" text box.
4. Close the dialog and save your entries with
"OK".
Procedure – Deactivating password protection
1. Press the "Password" button to open the
"Password Properties" dialog.
2. Delete the entries in the "Password" text box.
3. Delete the entries in the "Confirm Password"
text box.
4. Close the dialog and save your entries with
"OK".
