The SIMATIC RF660M mobile reader consists of a SIMATIC RF160B basic device and a head
module. In conjunction with the SIMATIC RF660H UHF head module, the reader can be used
in the UHF area (SIMATIC RF600).
Area of application
SIMATIC RF660M expands the RFID systems with a powerful mobile UHF reader for
applications in the areas of logistics, production and service. It is primarily used for mobile
acquisition and transmission (reading and writing) of transponder data. This makes the
reader an indispensable tool for commissioning and testing.

The mobile readers are designed for use in harsh environments - they are very rugged and
protected against splash water. The backlit display is easy to read even under unfavorable
lighting conditions.
