Battery and Battery Pack 1
1.1 Battery on the CPU Module
1.1.1 General
The battery on the CPU board buffers the BIOS data and the real-time clock. It has a nominal
capacity of 950mAh. With a typical discharge rate of 25 μA (with device switched off) the
minimum buffer time amounts to approx. four years. With a maximum discharge rate of 100 μA
the minimum buffer time amounts to approx. one year.
1.1.2 Replacing the Battery
For replacing the battery you need:
a battery of the type: Renata CR2477N, 3 V/950 mAh
an ESD-protected work area (conductive, grounded mat, ESD wrist strap or similar protective
equipment, cotton clothing)
1 flattip screwdriver 0.6 mm * 4 mm
1 crosstip screwdriver PZ size 1
1 pair of plastic tweezers
Caution
Battery and battery pack must only be replaced by types which are identical or recommended by
the supplier.
Work on the battery and battery replacement are restricted to qualified personnel only.
Do not reverse the polarity of the battery!
Do not recharge the battery!
Do not throw the battery into fire!
Explosion hazard!
Note
Make sure that all cables are disconnected from the device.
