An incorrect angular position generates uncontrolled torques and motion that can result in
death or severe injury.
• Replace the encoder according to the procedure described in these instructions.
• After replacing the encoder, carefully check the correct function of the motor (standstill,
direction of rotation, commutation position) without the mounted drive output elements
posing a risk. Check that the motor functions correctly, if possible, when removed from the
machine or system. Secure any feather keys that might be inserted so that they cannot be
󹪞ung out.
