4.5 Attaching the output elements
This chapter provides important information for pulling on output elements.
Damage to the motor due to runout on the shaft extension
Blows and pressure applied to the shaft extension can damage the gearbox.
• Mount the geared motor without applying blows and forces to the shaft extension.
Damage to shaft sealing rings when heating up
When pulling on input and output elements by applying heat, shaft sealing rings can be
damaged.
• Protect the shaft sealing rings using a thermal shield to prevent the temperature from
increasing to above 100 °C due to radiant heat.
