3.2 IP and PB addresses
In the example the following IP and PROFIBUS addresses are used. The user can
make changes at any time.

The network mask of the IP network is always 255.255.255.0 and no router is
used.
3.3 PG/PC settings
To create a connection between the SIMATIC controller and your development
system (PG/PC), you need to assign a fixed IP address to the network card used in
the PG/PC for the application.

to the network card used
(in this example: x = 252) and assign the
subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
In Windows 7, for example, you navigate as
follows:
>Start
> Control Panel
>Networks and Release Center
>Change adapter settings
>Right-click to the used network card
>Properties
>Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
>Properties
