Damage to property due to incorrect connection of the bus connection cable
Destruction of the 3RW5 communication module is possible due to incorrect connection of
the bus connection cable.
Do not connect the cable shield to the Com connection. On all devices in the Modbus RTU
segment, connect the core of the Com cable.

1. Connect the pair of cores for signal transmission and the core of the Com cable. To do
this, press the cores into the corresponding spring-type terminals.
2. Secure the cable with a cable tie. If you are using 2 cables, secure both cables together
in an appropriate manner with a cable tie.
