Installing on a Mac computer
ToinstallWatcherLiteandthemodemdrivers:
Note: Do not forcefully insert the
modem. This may damage the
connector pins.
1. InsertthemodemintoyourUSBslot(asdescribedin
“Insertingthemodem”onpage 22).
2. IntheFinder™window,double‐click
SierraWirelessWatcherLite.mpkg.
3. Inthe“WelcometotheSierraWirelessWatcherLite
Installer”window,click
Continue.
4. Inthe“StandardInstallon...”window,click
Install.
5. Ifawindowappears,promptingyoutoenteryour
password,enteryourMacpassword,andthenclick
OK.
6. Inthewindowwiththemessagethatyouwillhaveto
restartyourcomputer,click
Continue Installation.
7. Inthe“Installationcompletedsuccessfully”window,click
Restart.
8. Afteryourcomputerrestarts,configurethemodemtouse
youraccount(ifitwasnotpre‐activated),asdescribedin
“Activation”onpage 27.
USB modem insertion and
removal
Inserting the modem
Toinsertthemodemintoacomputer:
1. RemovetheprotectivecapfromtheUSBconnectorofthe
modem.
Note: Do not forcefully insert the
modem. This may damage the
connector pins.
2. GentlyinsertthemodemintotheUSBslot.Alternatively,
youcanattachtheUSBextensioncable(includedinyour
package)toyourcomputer’sUSBslot,andinsertthe
modemintotheUSBextensioncable.
Note: If your computer’s USB slot is vertical, use the USB extension
cable.
Do not insert the modem into a USB hub or a USB slot on a keyboard.
