  If your Silvercrest Iron produces little or no steam, the first step is to ensure that the water tank is adequately filled with water. Also, make sure the iron is sufficiently hot by waiting until the temperature indicator lamp goes out. Check that the temperature control is set within the appropriate range for steam ironing. If the steam unit hasn't been used recently, hold the steam button down a little longer to allow steam to be drawn through.
