~ When removing and fitting the seal6
for the blade assembly7, be careful not
to injure yourself on the blades.
Removing the blender jug
1. Rotate the blender jug5 anticlockwise
slightly, and lift it off upwards.
2. Replace the cover8.
Removing the lid of the blender
jug
3. Rotate the lid2 anticlockwise until you
can remove it.
4. Rotate the lid of the refill opening1 anti-
clockwise and remove it.
Blade assembly
5. Remove the blade assembly7 from the
blender jug5 (see “Using and remov-
ing the blade assembly” on page 39).
6. Pull the seal6 carefully off the blade as-
sembly7.
7. Carefully replace the cleaned seal6.
8. Before using the device again, reinsert
the blade assembly7.
11. Cleaning and
servicing the device
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
~ Disconnect the mains plug14 from the
wall socket before each cleaning.
~ Never immerse the base unit17 in wa-
ter.
DANGER! Risk of injury from
cutting!
~ Please remember that the blades of the
blade assembly7 are very sharp. Nev-
er touch the blades with your bare
hands in order to avoid cuts.
~ Before removing the blade assembly7,
rinse the blender jug5 with water and
remove scraps of food from the blades
so that the blade assembly7 can be re-
moved safely.
~ When washing manually, the water
should be sufficiently clear so that you
can see the blade assembly7 easily to
avoid injuries caused by the very sharp
blades.
WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
~ Never use any abrasive, corrosive or
scouring cleaning agents. These might
damage the device.
~ The beater20 and dough hook22
have a non-stick coating. Do not dam-
age them with sharp, pointed or scratch-
ing objects (e.g. knife, pot sponge).
NOTE: certain foods or spices (e.g. curry,
carrots) can discolour the plastic (e.g. the
splash guard18 or the lid of the refill open-
ing1). This is not a device error and is
harmless to health.
