11.1 Cleaning the base unit
1. Clean the base unit17 with a damp
cloth. You can also use a little detergent.
2. Wipe with a clean cloth with clear wa-
ter.
3. Do not use the base unit

until it has
completely dried.
11.2 Cleaning in the
dishwasher
The following parts are dishwasher-safe:
- Mixing bowl16
- Blender jug5
- Blade assembly7
- Seal for blade assembly6
-Lid2 of the blender jug
-Seal4
- Lid of the refill opening1
- Dough hook22
-Whisk21
- Beater20
- Splash guard18
The following parts must never be cleaned
in a dishwasher:
- Base unit17
-Cover8
NOTE: before cleaning the blender jug5 in
the dishwasher, always remove the blade
assembly7. Before every cleaning, re-
move the sealing6 from the blade assem-
bly7 (see “Using and removing the blade
assembly” on page 39).
11.3 Cleaning the accessories
1. Rinse the blender jug5 or the mixing
bowl16 with warm water and pour
away the water.
2. Remove the seal4 from the lid2 for
cleaning.
3. Clean all accessories by hand in a sink
with dishwater or in the dishwasher.
4. When cleaning by hand, rinse all parts
with clean water.
5. Allow all parts to dry completely before
reassembling, putting them away or re-
using them.
11.4 Cleaning the blender jug
1. Place the blender jug5 onto the base
unit17.
2. Fill it approximately half-full with warm
water containing detergent.
3. Put on the lid2.
4. Check that the speed control12 is set
to 0.
5. Plug the mains plug14 into a suitable
wall socket.
6. Set the speed control12 to 1.
7. Press the Turbo button13 briefly sever-
al times.
8. Set the speed control12 to 0 to switch
the device off.
9. Pull out the mains plug14 before clean-
ing the device.
10.Remove the blender jug5 from the base
unit17.
11.Pour out the dishwater.
12.Rinse the blender jug5 under clear wa-
ter.
13.Allow the blender jug5 to dry com-
pletely before you use it again.
11.5 Storage
• Allow all parts to dry completely before
placing them in storage.
• Store the device so that it is protected
against dust and dirt and out of the
reach of children.
• Figure B: you can wind up the power
cable in the cable spool24 on the un-
derside of the base unit17.
