The dotted lines in Figure 16 represent ribbon cables that connect the graphic drive boards and!or SCC modules
to the expansion boards. Each expansion board can handle a maximum of eight rows. Note that the SCC modules
are always connected to the top. Relay and lamp graphic drive boards are connected to the bottotr of the
expansion boards. However, note that switch graphic drive boards - or control boards with switches - MUST
use the top connector. Also note that one expansion board may control SCC modules and graphic drive boards.
(See expansion board 2 in Figure 16.)
Each graphic drive board has a switch package, SWl, containing eight switches. These eight switches correspond
to the eight rows the expansion board may control. A closed switch(es) on SW1 indicates the row(s) a graphic
drive board is assigned from the expansion board.
EXAMPLE:
Using Figure 16, follow the dotted lines from the expansion boards to the graphic drive boards. The circled
number(s) on the bottom of the graphic drive boards represents the switch(es) that will be closed on SW1 of that
board.
The SCC control module has an LED TEST switch on it which, when activated, will turn on all SCC LEDs. In case
of the graphic drive relay and lamp driver boards, the LED TEST switch activates their relays and lamps. If you
do not wish to turn on these relays or lamps, switch package SW2 on the graphic drive boards will allow you to
inhibit that signal from the SCC control module. Switch SW2-1, when closed, will disable the first four relays or
lamps (numbers 1 through 4) during the lamp test. Switch SW2-2, when closed, will disable the lower four relays
or lamps (numbers 5 through 8) during the lamp test. See Figure 17 (relay driver board) and Figure 18 (lamp driver
board).
