PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION
GTZZ18J Operation Manual 5-3 © Oct. 2022
inspection of the hydraulic oil level will help you
determine if a problem exists in the hydraulic system.
Perform the following procedures with the boom in
stowed position:
1. Open the left turntable cover to make visual
inspection of the sides of hydraulic tank, the
hydraulic oil level should be within the marking
range of oil level indicator.

2. Ensure the hydraulic tank body and its connections
are free of leaks.
3. Add oil as needed. Never overfill the tank.

INSPECTING DIESEL FUEL
LEVEL
NOTICE
The inspection must be performed with the engine
stopped.
Keeping the diesel fuel at an appropriate level is vital to
maintaining the engine performance and extending
service life. The diesel fuel in the tank at an
inappropriate level will bring damage to the engine
parts and lead to improper functioning of the machine.
Perform the following procedures with the boom in
stowed position:
1. Turn the Ground/Platform select switch at the
ground controller to the ground control position, and
pull out the emergency stop button at the ground
controller to the ON position, and then turn on the
key switch at the ground controller, the ground
control display will show the diesel fuel level in
percentage.
Figure 5-2
2. When the diesel fuel level is lower than or equal to
10%, an alarm will be triggered. Make sure to add
diesel fuel before continuing work.
3. Ensure the fuel tank and its connections are free of
leaks.
4. Shut off the engine before adding any diesel fuel.
5. Open the cap of fuel tank, and then add fuel as
needed. Never overfill the tank, and it is
recommended to add diesel fuel to the level range
of 50%–100% of the tank capacity.
