4.5 Brightness
The brightness of the stroboscope can be adjusted by changing the duration
of the flash. The clarity of the frozen image and the brightness are correlated.
A longer flash gives more brightness but makes the frozen image blurrier.
Adjusting the brightness helps to find the right relation for the inspection job.
The brightness can easily be adjusted by rotating the wheel (button 3).
The brightness is quantified by three values:
1) percentage of adjustment range,
2) duration of the flash in µs and
3) rotation angle of frozen object during one flash.
Adjust brightness by scrolling the
wheel. Brightness is also called
“Flash Duration”: it changes the
“on” time of the flashing light,
which can cause a blurry image
if too bright.
