6.9 Redundant System
6.9.1 Connecting a Redundant PowerPlantManager
Requirements for using the optional redundancy function:
☐ 2 Power Plant Managers must be installed.
☐ Both Power Platform Managers must be connected to the same communication network.
☐ Both Power Platform Managers must support the redundancy function.
☐ The ordered variants of both Power Plant Managers must be identical.
☐ Both PowerPlantManagers must have a valid license for redundant operation.

The following table shows the configuration of the inputs at terminal block X704 for the connection to the redundant
PowerPlantManager.

X704:1 GND Reset signal, sent to the other Power Plant Manager (This multifunctional
input is used as the digital output in the event of redundancy.)
X704:2 DIO1
X704:3 GND Provided for connecting the Redundancy Connector (see Section6.9.2,
page54)

Cable requirements:
☐ Conductor cross-section: 0.5mm² to 1.5mm² (16AWG to 20AWG)
