6.9 Redundant System
6.9.1 Connecting a Redundant PowerPlantManager
Requirements for using the optional redundancy function:
2 Power Plant Managers must be installed.
Both Power Platform Managers must be connected to the same communication network.
Both Power Platform Managers must support the redundancy function.
The ordered variants of both Power Plant Managers must be identical.
Both PowerPlantManagers must have a valid license for redundant operation.

The following table shows the configuration of the inputs at terminal block X704 for the connection to the redundant
PowerPlantManager.
Terminal Input Function
X704:1 GND Reset signal, sent to the other Power Plant Manager (This multifunctional
input is used as the digital output in the event of redundancy.)
X704:2 DIO1
X704:3 GND Provided for connecting the Redundancy Connector (see Section6.9.2,
page54)
X704:4 DIO2
X704:5 24V
X704:6 DIO3
X704:7 24V
X704:8 DIO4
X704:9 24V external Reset signal received from the other PowerPlantManager
X704:10 GND external
Cable requirements:
Conductor cross-section: 0.5mm² to 1.5mm² (16AWG to 20AWG)
