6.2 Connecting the Supply Voltage
The product offers several options for voltage supply. Depending on the ordered version, you use 1 of these options:
• Terminal of AC supply voltage (230 V AC)
• Terminal of DC supply voltage (24 V DC or 48 V DC or 110VDC)
Note the information on the type label of the product.
Requirements:
☐ The supply voltage must be protected by an external miniature circuit breaker type B16A or by an external
branch circuit breaker in accordance with local laws, regulations, codes and standards (e.g. National Electrical
Code® ANSI/NFPA70 or Canadian Electrical Code® CSA-C22.1.).
☐ In TT systems, the supply voltage must be additionally protected by means of a residual-current device.
☐ When a DC supply voltage is connected, the negative terminal of the DC supply voltage must be grounded.
Cable requirements:
☐ Number of insulated conductors: 3 (incl. grounding conductors)
☐ Conductor cross-section for rigid cables: 1.5mm² to 4mm² (16AWG to 12AWG)
☐ Conductor cross-section for flexible cables: 1.5mm² to 2.5mm² (16AWG to 14AWG) (when using bootlace
ferrules)
☐ The cable must also include a grounding conductor.
☐ The cable must be suitable for the local grid voltage and external fusing.
