3. Unlock all DC connectors using a screwdriver:
Insert a screwdriver into one of the side slits (1).
Lever the screwdriver upward (2) and pull out
the plug connector (3).
4. Remove the AC connection socket from the inverter.
5. Measure the resistance between the phases of the small wind turbine system and the
earthpotential:
Measure the resistance between L1 of the small wind turbine system and the earth potential.
Measure the resistance between L2 of the small wind turbine system and the earth potential.
Measure the resistance between L3 of the small wind turbine system and the earth potential.
Result Action
The measured resistance is almost infinite.
There is no ground fault in the small
wind turbine system.
There is probably a ground fault in the
WindyBoy Protection Box or in the supply lines
to the inverter.
Separate the Windy Boy Protection Box
from the inverter and measure the
resistance of all connections and the earth
potential.
The measured resistance is very small
(<10 ).
There is a ground fault in the small wind
turbine system.
Have the installer of the
smallwindturbine system correct the
ground fault before reconnecting the
small wind turbine system to the inverter.
