      The CHS is in SPP mode and connected to the SoMo when you try to launch Scanner Settings. Close the Keyboard Wedge application and try launching Scanner Settings again.

      If you see the “CHS not connected” icon and can’t scan, it means your PC is not connected to the CHS. Ensure the CHS is powered on, within range, and has sufficient battery. Try reconnecting the devices.

      This error occurs because you installed SocketScan 10 while logged into a different account. Log into the account you used during the initial installation. Alternatively, install SocketScan 10 for each user account that will use the CHS.

      If you receive this message, and the CHS is connected to Toshiba Bluetooth stack, and SocketScan 10 is running, ignore the message and click OK. The Scanner Settings application will launch and work properly.

      You tried to switch from one SocketScan application to another by using an assigned launch button. Only use the pop-up menu from the SocketScan task tray icon to switch between SocketScan applications.

      This issue may occur for several reasons: * If the CHS is in SPP mode, your PC might have multiple incoming Bluetooth serial ports enabled. Use your Bluetooth utility to disable extra incoming Bluetooth serial ports. In SocketScan Settings, click Ports to access the Bluetooth utility. * If the CHS is in SPP mode, SocketScan 10 might not be running. Start SocketScan 10 by clicking on the desktop shortcut icon. * The keyboard wedge might not be enabled in SocketScan Settings. Make sure 'Use keyboard wedge' is selected. * If the CHS is in SPP mode but not assigned to an incoming Bluetooth serial COM port, ensure it is assigned in SocketScan Settings. If the CHS is in SPP mode, and SocketScan 10 Is not running. Start SocketScan 10 by tapping Start | Programs | SocketScan 10 | SocketScan 10.

      This error can occur for several reasons: * SocketScan 10 might be competing with another application for the same COM port. Ensure each COM port is assigned to only one device. If needed, use the SocketScan 10 Settings utility to assign the CHS to a different incoming Bluetooth serial COM. * You might be running SocketScan 7 and SocketScan 10 simultaneously. Close SocketScan 7 and try reconnecting. * You might be trying to run SocketScan 10 on Windows 7 or Windows Vista in user mode (Error 53). Run SocketScan 10 with administrative privileges by right-clicking the SocketScan 10 desktop shortcut, selecting Properties, clicking Advanced, selecting Run as administrator, and clicking OK.
