5 GETTING STARTED
Installation
• InstallthettingmoduleyouwouldliketousewithEXPRESSlink
3
on
your computer. For installation information, please refer to the instal-
lation instructions from the fitting module supplier.
• AttachEXPRESSlink
3
to the computer using the USB cable provided.
The flat connector on the USB cable plugs into the computer and the
square connector plugs into the rear of EXPRESSlink
3
as shown in the
figure below:
• SeveralsecondsafterconnectingEXPRESSlink
3
to the computer, the
power indicator on the front panel of EXPRESSlink
3
turns bright green.
• Plugthehearingaidprogrammingcablesintotheconnectorsonthe
front panel of the EXPRESSlink
3
.
• YourEXPRESSlink
3
is now ready to use.
Note:
The driver software for EXPRESSlink
3
is included in the fitting software
module. In case the fitting module is uninstalled or updated, the driver
software will remain installed. Updates to the EXPRESSlink
3
driver are
delivered with your fitting software.
To reduce the risk of interference use only the USB cable pro-
vided or a standard USB cable that is less than the maximum
length of 3m.
