Usage Features:
- Power Supply: Can be powered by Sony BP-GL95B battery packs or AC-DN10A AC adaptors. DC IN power supply takes precedence over battery power when both are active.
- Attachment: Attaches to camcorders using Ø15 rods with a rod bracket or via camera mount brackets (for PXW-Z750, PXW-Z450/Z580, or PXW-X400/X580 camcorders).
- Cable Management: Includes a cable strap to prevent inadvertent disconnection of USB cables. A shoulder case is available for carrying the unit.

Maintenance Features:
- Software Update: Firmware can be updated via the web menu by users with Maintainer role.
- System Messages: Caution and warning messages are displayed on the web menu's [System Message] tab and on the unit's display, indicating issues like high temperature, low battery, input errors, or network problems.
- Freeze Detection: Monitors SDI input signals and displays a caution message if a video freeze is detected, with configurable frame limits and bit comparison.
