The
INQUIRY
command
requests
that
information
regarding
parameters
of
the
controller
and
its
attached
peripheral
device
be
sent
to
the
initiator.
The
INQUIRY
command
will
be
terminated
with
a
BUSY
status
when
the
controller
is
performing
power-on
diagnostics
or
the
reading
of
the
table
of
contents
is
occurring.
The
INQUIRY
command
will
be
terminated
with
a
CHECK
CONDITION
status
only
then
the
controller
has
detected
a
catastrophic
error.
If
an
INQUIRY
command
is
received
from an
initiator
with
a
pending
unit
attention
condition
(before
the
controller
reports
CHECK
COh~ITION
status),
the
controller
will
perform
the
INQUIRY
command
and
will
not
clear
the
unit
attention
condition.
