Why are the printed pictures from my Sony Printer inferior in quality?
    • M
      Mary BlevinsAug 25, 2025
The printed pictures from your Sony Printer might be of poor quality due to several factors. If you are using a digital camera, preview images may be displayed along with the primary images, and their printed quality will not be as good. Small images will result in rough printing quality. Enlarged images may also have deteriorated picture quality depending on the image size. Ensure you're not printing on used print paper or using a used ink ribbon. Also, fingerprints on the printing surface may cause imperfections, so avoid touching it. Try to wipe the plastic part of the ink ribbon and remove dust.

How to fix Sony DPP-FP60 LCD screen when it displays no images?
    • B
      Bobby BarronAug 26, 2025
If your Sony Printer's LCD screen shows no images, it might be because a PictBridge camera or PC is connected and the printer is operating in PictBridge/PC mode. Disconnect the camera or PC to display images from a memory card or external device. Make sure to properly insert a memory card or external device containing recorded images, and verify that the file formats are compatible with the printer. Also, follow any directions displayed in the messages on the screen. If an image is not compatible with the DCF, it may not be printed even if it is displayed on the PC monitor.

Why does my Sony DPP-FP60 stop printing midway?
    • E
      Eric TerryAug 27, 2025
Your Sony Printer might stop printing midway for a few reasons. The data size of the image could be large, requiring more processing time. The printer will start printing as soon as the data processing finishes. Alternatively, paper could be jammed. If no indicator is lit, the thermal head may be overheated. Leave the printer until the head cools down and the printer resumes printing.

    • C
      Cory HayesDec 1, 2025
Some images may not be displayed or printed on your Sony Printer if the file used for printing is damaged. If there are no images stored in the memory card or external device, the “No image file” message appears. If an image is not compatible with DCF (Design rule for Camera File system), it may not be printed even if it is displayed on the PC monitor. If the mark is displayed, the image may be a JPEG file created with your computer, or the thumbnail data is not contained. If the mark is displayed, the image is of compatible file format but its thumbnail data or the data itself cannot be opened. The printer can display, save, delete or handle up to 9 999 image files. If there are more than 9 999 images stored in a memory card or an external device, use the PC or PictBridge mode to display ...
