Why some images are not displayed or printed on Sony DPP-FP70?
    • J
      Jessica WilliamsNov 26, 2025
If some images are not displayed or printed on your Sony Printer, it could be due to these reasons: * If the image is displayed but cannot be printed, the file used for printing might be damaged. If there are no images stored in the memory card or external device, the “No image file” message will appear. Also, if an image is not compatible with DCF, it may not be printed even if it is displayed on the PC monitor. * Select the mark and press ENTER to display its image preview. If an image is displayed, you can print the image. If the same mark is displayed again, the image is of incompatible file format and you cannot print it with the printer. * If there are more than 9999 images stored in a memory card or external device, use the PC or PictBridge mode to display and handle the rema...

Why are the printed pictures from my Sony Printer inferior in quality?
    • N
      Nicole VazquezAug 23, 2025
If your Sony Printer is producing printed pictures of inferior quality, it might be due to several reasons: * If you are using preview images, their printed quality will not be as good as the primary images. Note that deleting preview images may damage the data for the primary images. * If the image is small, the printing quality will be rough due to the small image size. Try changing the image size setting on your digital camera. * Enlarging an image may cause deteriorated picture quality, depending on its original size. * Avoid touching the shiny side of the print paper, as fingerprints can cause imperfect printing. * Do not reuse print paper or ink ribbon. Printing an image twice on the same paper will not make it thicker.

Why does the LCD screen display no images on my Sony Printer?
    • K
      Katie TownsendAug 26, 2025
If the LCD screen on your Sony Printer displays no images, it could be due to the following reasons: * If a PictBridge camera or a PC is connected and the printer is in PictBridge/PC mode, no images will be displayed. Operate with the PictBridge camera or PC, or remove them to display images from a memory card or external device. * Follow any messages displayed on the screen to troubleshoot the problem. * Ensure that the memory card or external device is properly inserted. * Verify that the memory card or external device contains recorded images and that the file formats are compatible with the printer. * If an image is not compatible with the DCF standard, it may not be printed even if displayed on a PC monitor.

Why is the file name not displayed correctly on my Sony DPP-FP70?
    • E
      Elizabeth CaldwellAug 29, 2025
If the filename is not displayed correctly on your Sony Printer, it is possible that when you named or renamed the image file on your computer, the filename included characters other than alphanumeric characters. For files created with a PC application, the first 8 characters of the filename will be displayed.

Why are there blank areas in the Edit menu of Sony DPP-FP70 Printer?
    • T
      Theodore CantuSep 18, 2025
If there are blank areas at the top and bottom of the previewed image in the Edit menu of your Sony Printer, it may be because the image is extremely stretched vertically or horizontally. The standard aspect ratio of an image shot with a digital camera is 3:4. When an image is edited or printed in the P size, it is saved as a more horizontal print image, and its top and bottom edges will be cut and displayed in black.
