SNC-WR632C/WR602C
4-2. SY-416 Board
The SY-416 board differs in SNC-WR632C and SNC-WR602C.
The mounting of parts on the SY-416 board is the same, but the model ID written in the EEPROM memo-
ry on the SY-416 board differs.
The SY-416 board of SNC-WR632C has no compatibility with that of SNC-WR602C.
Analog video input circuit block
The video signal output from an FCB camera block is input from CN101.
In SNC-WR632C and SNC-WR602C, the contents of the video signal are as described below.
SNC-WR632C
The Y, Pb, and Pr analog component signals and Y signals of 1080/60P and 1080/50P or 1080/30P and
1080/25P are composite signals obtained from a tri-level sync signal.
60P or 30P is output when the NTSC signal of analog video output is selected. 50P or 25P is output when
a PAL signal is selected.
60P/50P and 30P/25P are switched by selection of a high-frame mode.
SNC-WR602C
The Y, Pb, and Pr analog component signals and Y signals of 720/60P and 720/50P or 720/30P and
720/25P are composite signals obtained from a tri-level sync signal.
60P or 30P is output when the NTSC signal of analog video output is selected. 50P or 25P is output when
a PAL signal is selected.
60P/50P and 30P/25P are switched by selection of a high-frame mode.
The component video signal input from the SY-416 board is converted from analog to digital using an A/
D converter. The obtained signal is converted into an RS-422 digital signal of Y: 8 bits and Pb/Pr: 8 bits.
The HD and VD pulses that are sync-separated from the component signal input to the SY-416 board are
generated in the A/D converter.
In the A/D converter, a clock signal for A/D conversion is also generated from an HD pulse using PLL.
The video signal converted into digital using the A/D converter is input to SoC (ALION module).
SoC processing block
SoC incorporates a CPU (ARM11), image CODEC, Ethernet MAC, and image resizer.
The SoC processing block changes the image size of the video signal converted into digital using SoC,
compresses the image (using a CODEC) after applicable gradation conversion (VE) and character inser-
tion, and transfers the image from an Ethernet MAC to Ethernet PHY1 for network distribution. This
block also detects moving and non -moving bodies. Various user setting functions are also processed
using the internal CPU of SoC.
SoC has UART connectors, a serial communication connector, an external local bus, and an I/O connector.
There are two UART connectors. One communicates with a swivel base control microcontroller. The
other is a serial connector that a user uses as RS-422.
SoC has also two I
2
C buses. Audio IC is connected to one. A video encoder, I/O input and output, real-
time clock, temperature sensor, and EEPROM are connected to the other.
NAND flash memory and an SD card are also connected to SoC.
There are an LED lighting circuit, factory-setting switch input, self-reset execution terminal, and FCB
camera block power control terminal in the I/O connector of SoC.
