Recording – Basics
Shooting backlit subjects (BACK LIGHT)
When you shoot a subject with the light source behind the subject or a subject with a
light background, use the backlight function.
Press BACK LIGHT in the recording or standby mode.
The c indicator appears in the viewfinder or on the LCD screen.
To cancel, press BACK LIGHT again.
If you press EXPOSURE when shooting backlit subjects
The backlight function will be canceled.
Shooting in the dark (NightShot)
The NightShot function enables you to shoot a subject in a dark place. For example, you
can satisfactorily record the environment of nocturnal animals for observation when
you use this function.
(1) While your camcorder is in the standby mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to ON.
(2) Press START/STOP to start recording.
and “NIGHTSHOT” indicators flash on the LCD screen or in the
viewfinder. To cancel the NightShot function, slide NIGHTSHOT to OFF.
