Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT
Version 1.1
November 2017
Click on the “Create new Root-CA” button to generate your own certification authority on the
Spectra PowerBox 100-IoT. The setting process may take some time. Note: Each click on this
button creates new certificates which in turn requires the reconfiguration of the services and
devices connected to the broker!
The “SSL Listener Port” specifies on which port the connections protected by SSL/TLS are
terminated (standard port: tcp/8883).
At “Expand...” at the items “Client Certificate, “Client Certificate Key” and “CA Certificate”, you
can view, highlight and copy the certificates and thus transmit them to the desired devices
and/or configurations. Note: For security reasons, you must handle these certificates with
care. For example, it is important to make sure that the certificate keys (“Client Certificate
Key”) are not made available to the public.
The “Require Certificates” option makes sure that the MQTT-Broker only allows connections
encrypted by SSL/TLS. If this option is disabled, both encrypted and unencrypted connections
are possible.
