What to do if my Spektrum DX8G2 Remote Control aircraft will not bind to the transmitter?
    • S
      Susan LopezJul 30, 2025
If your aircraft won't bind to the transmitter, consider these potential causes: The transmitter might be too close to the aircraft during binding; move it a few feet away and try again. Large metal objects nearby can interfere with the signal; move the aircraft or transmitter away from them. Ensure the bind plug is correctly installed in the bind port. Low battery charge in either the flight or transmitter battery can prevent binding, so replace or recharge the batteries. Also, if you're using a DX8 EU version transmitter with a DSM2 receiver, note that they are incompatible.

Why Spektrum DX8G2 Remote Control receiver goes into failsafe mode a short distance away from the transmitter?
    • A
      Amber HarrisAug 4, 2025
If the receiver enters failsafe mode when it's a short distance from the transmitter, examine the receiver antenna for any cuts or damage. You may need to replace it or contact Horizon Product Support. Also, check if the main and remote receivers are too close together; they should be installed at least 2 inches (51mm) apart.

What to do if Spektrum DX8G2 Remote Control receiver loses its bind?
    • S
      Sean CarlsonAug 8, 2025
If the receiver loses its bind, it might be because the bind button was pressed before the transmitter was powered on. To resolve this, rebind by following the binding instructions.

What to do if Spektrum DX8G2 receiver quits responding during operation?
    • K
      Karen PerryAug 13, 2025
If the receiver stops responding during operation, it could be due to low battery voltage. Completely recharge the flight battery. Another potential cause is loose or damaged wires or connectors between the battery and receiver. Inspect these wires and connections, and repair or replace them as needed.

Why Flight log registers undesirable number of fades, losses or holds or aircraft responds irregularly to controls in Spektrum DX8G2 Remote Control?
    • C
      Claudia SheltonAug 17, 2025
An undesirable number of fades, losses, or holds in the flight log, or irregular aircraft control responses, can stem from several issues. Poor signal reception may be the cause; reposition remote receivers to improve RF signal path diversity. Electronic feedback from servos or motor systems to the ESC or receiver could also be a factor; check for and eliminate any feedback. Low power can also contribute; assess the aircraft's power draw and either increase battery power or reduce power demand by installed systems. Ensure all aircraft batteries are fully charged and that the installed BEC for an electric aircraft is adequate for the power demand.

Why is my Spektrum DX8G2 Remote Control receiver slowly blinking at landing (DSM2 Only)?
    • J
      John HernandezAug 21, 2025
If the receiver is slowly blinking upon landing (DSM2 Only), check the battery voltage, as it may indicate a loss of power to the receiver during flight. Also, ensure you power off the transmitter when the receiver is powered off. This issue can occur if the system was powered on and connected, and then the receiver was powered off without powering off the transmitter.

What to do if my Spektrum DX8G2 aircraft will not link after binding?
    • J
      Jennifer ChavezOct 26, 2025
If your aircraft doesn't link to the transmitter after binding, several factors could be at play. Ensure the transmitter isn't too close to the aircraft during the linking process; move it a few feet away, then disconnect and reconnect the flight battery to the aircraft. Check for large metal objects nearby and move the aircraft or transmitter away from them. Verify that the bind plug isn't left in the bind port; if it is, rebind the transmitter to the aircraft and remove the bind plug before cycling power. If using ModelMatch™ radios, confirm that the correct model memory is selected on the transmitter. Low battery charge in either the flight or transmitter battery can also cause this, so replace or recharge the batteries. Ensure the aircraft is bound to the transmitter. A damaged remote ...
