SECURING THE SAFE
DRAWER MOUNTING
Select an appropriate sized drawer for your
safe. Place the safe in the drawer and try
opening and closing the safe and drawer.
Do not aempt to close the drawer with the
safe open.
Place the safe in the desired drawer and mark
the mounng holes with a pencil. Remove the
safe and drill the pilot holes for the screws.
Replace the safe in the drawer and insert the
screws through the mounng holes and drawer
boom. For maximum security, use 2 mounng
screws. Secure the screw by ghtening the
Nylock nut on the screws. (Figure 1)
SELECTING A LOCATION
This safe must be mounted into a drawer
(PDS-1800-E) or into a drawer or the wall
(PDS-1805-E). For opmal safety and security,
the safe should be installed in an isolated, dry
and secure area.
NOTE: This safe must be mounted into a

wall (PDS-1805-E). Failure to do so will
compromise the safety and security of the safe.
To lock the safe, close the door and turn the
knob to the le to the 12:00 posion.
LOCKING THE SAFE
NOTE ON LOCKING THE SAFE: Because the
locking mechanism is deacvated for
approximately 3 to 6 seconds aer the
combinaon is entered, wait a minimum of
6 seconds from the me the combinaon is
entered to lock the safe. Also, when locking
the safe, always make sure the knob is turned
completely to the le to the 12:00 posion.
If the knob is not turned to the 12:00 posion
during the locking process, the locking
mechanism will not lock.
THE SAFE SHOULD ALWAYS BE KEPT OUT
OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.

NOTE: Do not mix old and new baeries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard or
rechargeable baeries.
This safe uses 4 - AA baeries. Under normal
use, baeries will last about 1 year.
NOTE: If the baeries are low, the yellow light
will flash when you start to enter your code.
To replace the baeries, open the baery
compartment on the back of the door by
pushing the tab in the direcon of the arrow
and install all new baeries.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
