SECURING THE SAFE
DRAWER MOUNTING
Select an appropriate sized drawer for your
safe. Place the safe in the drawer and try
opening and closing the safe and drawer.
Do not aempt to close the drawer with the
safe open.
Place the safe in the desired drawer and mark
the mounng holes with a pencil. Remove the
safe and drill the pilot holes for the screws.
Replace the safe in the drawer and insert the
screws through the mounng holes and drawer
boom. For maximum security, use 2 mounng
screws. Secure the screw by ghtening the
Nylock nut on the screws. (Figure 1)
SELECTING A LOCATION
This safe must be mounted into a drawer
(PDS-1800-E) or into a drawer or the wall
(PDS-1805-E). For opmal safety and security,
the safe should be installed in an isolated, dry
and secure area.
NOTE: This safe must be mounted into a
drawer (PDS-1800-E) or into a drawer or the
wall (PDS-1805-E). Failure to do so will
compromise the safety and security of the safe.
To lock the safe, close the door and turn the
knob to the le to the 12:00 posion.
LOCKING THE SAFE
NOTE ON LOCKING THE SAFE: Because the
locking mechanism is deacvated for
approximately 3 to 6 seconds aer the
combinaon is entered, wait a minimum of
6 seconds from the me the combinaon is
entered to lock the safe. Also, when locking
the safe, always make sure the knob is turned
completely to the le to the 12:00 posion.
If the knob is not turned to the 12:00 posion
during the locking process, the locking
mechanism will not lock.
THE SAFE SHOULD ALWAYS BE KEPT OUT
OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.

NOTE: Do not mix old and new baeries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard or
rechargeable baeries.
This safe uses 4 - AA baeries. Under normal
use, baeries will last about 1 year.
NOTE: If the baeries are low, the yellow light
will flash when you start to enter your code.
To replace the baeries, open the baery
compartment on the back of the door by
pushing the tab in the direcon of the arrow
and install all new baeries.
