TWO
SPEED TRANSAXLE SHIFT
PROCEDURES
The
unit
is
equipped
with
a
two-speed
transaxle. Normal operations will use the "HIGH"
range shift position.
"LOW'
range position will give a
finer speed control with the Forward / Reverse foot
pedal for slower operations
if
desired. A neutral
position is also available for emergency towing.
A CAUTION
Whenever it
is
necessary to shift the transaxle into
neutral or into a different range, the engine must
be stopped and the parking brakes applied.
Shift Procedure
1.
Remove the left access panel
on
the main frame.
2.
Loosen and remove the 1/4 x 3/4 flange bolt 'W
from the shift lever.
3.
Shift the transaxle to the desired position and re-
install the 1/4 x 3/4 flange bolt. Torque to

15
ft.
lbs. (See the illustration at right for the shift
positions).

moving a stalled unit.
Neutral position
is
between "HIGH" and "LOW"
