The engine oil can be very
hot. In order to avoid
potential burns, do not
remove the engine drain
plug or the
filter cover if
the engine is hot. Wait until
engine oil is warm.
WARNING
Ensure vehicle is on a level surface.
Remove dipstick.
Clean the oil drain plug area.
Place a drain pan under the oil drain
plug area.
Unscrew oil drain plug.
TYPICAL
1. Oil drain plug
Allow enough time for oil to flow out of
oil filter.
Unscrew the oil filter cover.
1. Oil filter cover
2. Exhaust pipe
Remove the oil filter and replace with a
new filter.
Check the cover O-ring and change it if
necessary
