During the expiration phase, solenoid V1 remains closed. The bellows
fills with the constant flow of fresh gas.
During the following inspiration phase, solenoid V1 opens. The collected
fresh gas is conveyed by solenoid V1 to the patient.
The tension spring of the bellows ensures that the reservoir empties
quickly.

The safety valve in the rear wall of the basic housing prevents any
overpressure from accumulating in the bellows.
The safety valve opens at a pressure of 70 mbar.
