Operator Manual LED202 In-Ceiling Lighting System

5.2 Essential Performance
Essential performance for surgical luminaires includes:
1. Providing central illuminance of at least 40 klx
2. Limiting central irradiance to less than 700 W/m²
During normal operation, there is no need to periodically confirm that essential performance is present. However, if
there is an unexpected event, such as a severe impact or exposure to environmental conditions outside of the
recommended range, it can be determined that essential performance has been maintained by a visual observation
that:
1. Light output appears the same as before the event.
2. There is not any apparent damage to the system.
NOTE: In extreme cases of electromagnetic interference, the operator may experience temporary loss of light or
beam articulation function. This can be corrected by removing the source of interference and power cycling the
light if necessary.
