Complete the following checklist to be sure the system is operating correctly. If any issues occur, contact STERIS.
1. Check intensity control.
◻ Pressing the intensity touchpads numbered “1” through “5” should give progressively higher illumination.
Pressing intensity touchpad “0” should turn off illumination.
◻ The blue LED next to the "0" intensity touchpad indicates that the light fixture has power, the light fixture
power switch is ON, and the light engine is OFF.
◻ A green LED next to an intensity touchpad indicates that the light fixture has power, the light fixture power
switch is ON, and the light engine is ON. Green LEDs will light next to all intensity settings up to the desired
level. The blue LED next to intensity "0" will be off.
◻ Repeat test for other light (if dual installation).
2. Check position control.
◻ Set intensity control to “5”.
◻ Manipulate each light through its full range of motion with its position control. The track of the light beam
should be continuous with no “dead spots” or lessening of lamp intensity. Manipulate the position control in
all possible combinations to be sure there is no binding or restriction of movement.
◻ Verify that the light moves in the correct orientation relative to the wall control. Pressing up moves the light
in the direction of the patient’s head, pressing down moves the light in the direction of the patient’s feet,
pressing right moves the light to the patient’s right and pressing left moves the light to the patient’s left.
◻ Repeat test for other light (if dual installation).
3. Turn light off by setting intensity controller to "0" when testing is complete. Blue LED will stay lit.
