LED202 In-Ceiling Lighting System Operator Manual
Summary of Warnings and Cautions
Following is a list of the safety precautions which must be observed when operating or servicing an LED202 lighting
system. WARNINGS indicate the potential for danger to personnel, and CAUTIONS indicate the potential for damage to
equipment. These precautions are repeated (in whole or in part), where applicable, throughout the manual. It is
important to review these precautions before operating the lighting system.
WARNING
PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD
Customer shall follow the national requirements (standards or directives) for the hygiene and disinfection
for the country in which the equipment is in use.
This product emits possibly hazardous optical radiation. Do not stare at the light emitted from the
surgical luminaire. Eye injury may occur.
The LED202 light fixture is designed to be used at a distance of more than 122 cm from the illuminated
surface. Use at distances less than 122 cm may cause excessive radiant heat at the illuminated surface.
WARNING
PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD
A risk of increased emissions or decreased immunity may result if any additional cables are attached.
Do not modify this equipment without authorization of the manufacturer.
Only STERIS or STERIS-trained service personnel should make repairs and adjustments to this
equipment. Maintenance done by unqualified personnel or installation of unauthorized parts could cause
personal injury, invalidate the warranty, or result in costly damage.
Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and external
antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the STERIS Corporation LED202
LIGHT, models LED202X2 and LED202X1, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise,
degradation of the performance of this equipment could result.
Read and follow warnings and instructions found on Material Safety Data Sheets and labels.
This device has not been tested for compatibility with all other potential RF Emitters such as X-ray, Metal
Detectors, Electrosurgical Equipment, Diathermy Equipment, 5G Cellular, NFC, WPT, or Electronic Article
Surveillance (EAS) de-vices. Caution should be used if such emitters are present within the use
environment.
