Stihl 029, 039 - 8. HANDLE HOUSING; 8.1 Front Handle; 8.1.1 Removing and Installing Handle Housing

- Take the lower mounting screws
out of the front handle.
- Remove the plugs from the annular
buffers on the front handle.
- Take out the front handle mounting
screws.
- Pull the front handle down and off
the handle housing, and then take
it away to the rear.
Assemble in the reverse sequence.
- Remove the front handle –
see 8.1.
- Remove the carburetor –
see 11.2.
- Slip the washer off the mounting
studs and take the sleeve out of
the manifold.
- Pull the short circuit wire's con-
nector sleeve out of the switch
shaft.
