Guard ring for sawing applications
For use with circular saw blades
N Attach guard ring (1) for sawing
applications
N Fit thrust plate (2)
Cleaning gearbox and cutting
attachment mounting hardware
The gearbox, its surroundings, the
interior of the shield and the individual
mounting hardware for the cutting
attachment should be inspected for dirt
regularly and when changing the cutting
attachment and thoroughly cleaned if
necessary. To do this:
N remove all mounting hardware for
the cutting attachment from the
gearbox
Blocking the shaft
N Push the locking pin (1) as far as it
will go into the hole (2) in the gear –
press gently
N Turn shaft until the locking pin
engages
Mounting the cutting attachment
WARNING
Use the appropriate deflector for the
cutting attachment – see "Mounting the
deflector".
Mounting the mowing head with a
threaded connection
Keep the mowing head documentation
in a safe place.
Reconfiguring a mowing head with
interchangeable threaded connection
N Check whether the mowing head is
fitted with a collar nut (1) with an
M 12 internal thread
If a collar nut with M 14 thread is fitted:
N Remove collar nut with M 14 thread
and replace with the version with
M 12 – refer to reconfiguration
instructions in the mowing head
