Set the choke lever (8):
for cold start to g
for warm start to e -
(even if engine has been running
but is still cold)
: Press fuel pump bulb (9) at least
five times.
: Hold the unit securely.
: Make sure you have a firm footing.
: Hold the unit with your left hand and
press it down firmly.

! If you crank the engine in the
"Start" position, the sweeper
belts may rotate when the engine
starts - this may set the
PowerSweep in motion.
!
! !
! Do not stand or kneel on the drive
tube!
: Pull the starter grip slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and then give it a brisk strong pull.
Do not pull out the starter rope all
the way - it might otherwise break.
: Do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing
so that the starter rope can rewind
properly.

: Continue cranking until engine
runs.
When the engine begins to fire:
: Move the choke lever to e and
continue cranking.
