PRESCRIBING INFORMATION
FOREWORD
Read this manual carefully before using your StimTec
TARGET unit.
The manufacturer strongly recommends carefully reading
the “Warnings and Cautions, and subsequent chapters of
this manual.
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
Contraindications:
1. Do not use this device if you have a cardiac
pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other
implanted metallic or electronic device, because this
may cause electric shock, burns, electrical
interference, or death.
2. Do not use this device if your pain syndromes are
undiagnosed.
WARNINGS
1. Do not apply stimulation over your neck or mouth
because this could cause severe muscle spasms
resulting in closure of the airway, difficulty in
breathing, or adverse effects on heart rhythm or
blood pressure.
2. Do not apply stimulation across your chest, because
the introduction of electrical current into the chest
may cause rhythm disturbances to your heart, which
could be lethal.

Intended Use and TENS Mechanism

StimTec TARGET combines TENS and EMS. TENS provides pain relief by stimulating natural defenses and endorphins.

EMS Mechanism and Contents

EMS stimulates muscles. Lists items included in the StimTec Target pack: unit, leads, electrodes, batteries, manual.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE YOUR UNIT

Step 1: Battery Installation

Instructions for removing the battery cover, inserting the battery, and replacing the cover.

Step 2: Connecting Leads

Guidance on inserting one or two leads into the unit's jacks for operation.

Step 3: Connecting Electrodes

Instructions for removing electrodes from packaging and connecting them to the leads.
