TOOLS REQUIRED
BEFORE YOU START
Carefully read these instructions and refer to them constantly during each stage of construction. If you do not have all the necessary tools or information,
contact Stratco for advice. Before starting, layout all components and check them against the delivery docket. The parts description identifies each key part,
and the component layout diagram indicates their fastening position.
Double check all dimensions, levels and bolting locations before cutting, screwing or bolting structural members. It is recommended that the installers erecting
the structure have had some previous building experience because some modifications to the existing house structure may be required. If a freestanding unit
is being installed, the attachment beam becomes the rear fascia beam and is installed as per the details for the front fascia beam. Box gutters and flashings do
not need to be pre-fixed until all beams have been erected.
Note: All screws within the unit must be fastened by hand using a screw-driver, or a low-torque, low-speed drill.
Using a powered tool may result in screw heads shearing from the shank. If screw heads shear from shank it is recommended
that a Screw Extractor kit is used to remove the screw.
Note: Allure components are designed for 1° fall to accommodate the minimum required louvre fall and Allure
construction should allow for this. A minimum 1:200 fall shall be maintained during construction for gutter fall toward
downpipes when this is perpendicular to louvre direction.

Overview

This document is an installation guide for the Stratco Allure™ Aluminium Louvre-Patio, a motorized outdoor roofing system designed to provide adjustable shade and weather protection.

Function Description:

The Stratco Allure™ system is a sophisticated outdoor patio solution featuring adjustable aluminium louvres. It allows users to control the amount of sunlight, shade, and ventilation, and provides protection from rain. The system is motorized, enabling remote control operation of the louvres for opening and closing. It also incorporates a rain sensor for automatic closure during rain events, enhancing convenience and protection. The system is designed for both attached and freestanding installations, with considerations for various structural integrations.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Louvre Fall: Components are designed for a 1° fall to accommodate the minimum required louvre fall.
  • Gutter Fall: A minimum 1:200 fall must be maintained for gutter fall toward downpipes when perpendicular to louvre direction.
  • Rafter Strengthening Bracket Pitch Adjustment: Adjustable from 15 to 30 degrees.
  • Gutter Width Accommodation: Adjustable to allow for standard gutters with a width of up to 200mm.
  • T-piece Connection Bolts Torque: Minimum 35Nm.
  • Wall Attachment Fasteners: M10 Masonry anchors, spaced at a maximum of 500mm centres.
  • Pilot Hole Sizes for Wall Attachment: Ø16mm through internal face of beam, Ø12mm through external face.
  • Mounting Hole Centre (Datum End): 270mm from the end of the beam.
  • Gutter Fasteners: 12x20 self-drilling screws with neoprene washers at 500mm centres. End fixings at least 100mm from each end.
  • Corner Knuckle Fasteners: Two 10gx30mm stainless steel countersunk self-tapping screws. Countersink outside diameter approximately 8mm.
  • Fascia Beam Attachment (Eaves Fixing Brackets): Four M12 bolts with spacers and washers.
  • Back-to-Back Beam Fasteners (Multiple Banks): 10g x 30mm stainless steel countersunk self-tapping screws at a maximum spacing of 600mm centres.
  • Post-to-Beam Bracket Fasteners: 10gx30mm stainless steel countersunk self-tapping screws. Pilot holes Ø3.5mm, 25mm & 65mm down from top of post on two opposing faces. Countersink outside diameter approximately 8mm.
  • Post Shoe Fasteners (to concrete): One M12x120mm Anchor Bolt with a 50x50x6.0mm washer plate.
  • Post Shoe Fasteners (to post): Four 10gx30mm stainless steel countersunk self-tapping screws, 30mm in from post edges.
