If a thread is stuck between reel capsule and hook, the reel capsule must be
taken out, as otherwise the machine is blocked.
This makes removal of the hook necessary, see point “
Removal and fitting of the reel capsule (Fig. 5)
3.4.1 Removal and
fitting of the hook (Fig. 2 and Fig. 3)”.
After releasing the screws (1) the hook cover (3) can be removed. Then turn the
reel capsule at the reel holder flap (2) to position C and pull it out from the
hook.
When reinserting take care that the reel holder flap (2) points in the direction of
the hook point (c).

The leaf spring (2) regulates the reel thread tension.
Thread tension – reel thread (Fig. 6)
By turning the flat head screw with catch (1), the leaf spring must be able to be
adjusted in such a way that when the reel is inserted, the thread is pulled
correctly under the leaf spring and then the reel capsule is released, this
together with the reel falls slowly downwards, or by light jerking at the thread.
