The principle of the interval gear rests on the repeat of an always-consistent
different plunger height with the individual penetrations of the needle.
Interval gear
With the needle lever with radial and swinging movement, the interval enables
the needle to penetrate either right or left.

Adjusting the interval gear (Fig. 14)
A ttention!
Disconnect machine from the mains!
a) Set needle point with normal stitch (right penetration) to centre plunger.
b) Release grub screws in gear (1) and gear (1) until the slide (3) is
horizontal.
c) Turn slot of the eccentric bolt (2) to approx. 46°.
d) Release flat head screw (4) and slide (3) (approximately stop at the back
of the long slot) until interval lift is approx. 4.8 ±0.2 mm.
e) Check plunger to the needle (see point 3.9.2 Fitting and adjusting the
plunger (Fig. 11 and Fig. 13)” d), possibly adjust eccentric bolt (2) slightly,
from this follows: section d readjusting.
