Troubleshooting Tips

LIFEPAK 15 Monitor/Debrillator
Proper skin preparation is critical to obtaining
a quality signal and successful monitoring using
QUIK-COMBO electrodes
Prepare the patient’s skin:
1. Remove all clothing from the patient’s chest
2. Remove excessive chest hair. Avoid nicking or cutting
the skin. Avoid placing electrodes over broken skin,
implanted devices or medication patches.
3. Clean and dry the skin
4. Briskly wipe the skin dry with a towel or gauze
5. Do not use alcohol, tincture of benzoin or antiperspirant
to prep the skin
6. Discard the electrode if gel is not intact or Use By date
has passed
